The Cashs Crystal Newgrange Diamond Necklace is inspired by the megalithic monument of Newgrange. At dawn every year on the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year, sunlight shines directly into the central chamber of this place, the cut pattern represents the sun’s rays during this amazing event.
Dating back to 3200 B.C, Newgrange is older than the pyramids in Egypt and is officially a World Heritage site. It is believed that this site and the sun’s light was an ancient way of measuring the passage of time and significant to those in the afterlife.
The Crystal Newgrange necklace is handmade by Designer Michael Fanning using Irish crystal and a sterling silver chain hallmarked in Dublin Castle along with a whole lot of love in Waterford, Ireland.
